1. Who we are

FindNow (findnow.in) is an online marketplace that connects sellers and buyers. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we handle it.

2. Data we collect

  • Account details: name, contact number, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • The identity proof you upload during registration.
  • Listing details you submit: title, description, price, city, photos and the location of your item.
  • Your device location, only when you choose to share it.
  • Messages you send and receive through the site, and your choices about which contact details to share.
  • Payment and wallet records. Card or bank details are handled by our payment gateway (PayU) and are not stored by us.

3. How we use it

  • To verify and approve accounts and keep the marketplace safe.
  • To show listings, including nearby listings, and to process listing fees.
  • To send service emails such as verification and approval messages.

4. Who can see it

  • Your identity proof is visible only to our moderation team.
  • Sellers choose which details (name, phone number, email, location) approved buyers can see. A seller who shares none can be contacted only through messages inside the site.
  • Messages are shared only between the buyer and seller in the conversation, and are deleted if either account is deleted.
  • We share payment data with PayU to process payments. We do not sell your data.

5. Location

We ask for your location only to show nearby listings and to record where a listed item is. You can refuse and still browse by city. A cookie on your device remembers your shared location for up to 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and a cookie to remember your shared location.

7. Retention and deletion

You can request deletion of your account from the Delete account option in the menu. When approved, we delete your profile, identity proof and listings. Wallet balances are not refundable. We may keep minimal payment records, without your personal details, where needed for accounting or legal reasons.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
